Stallion 51 Corporation conducts high-performance
military style aerobatic routines at airshows
throughout North America and Canada.
The Flight Demonstration is dedicated to the
P-51 Mustang and its history as one of the most famous
fighters of World War II. This allows the public to
see first hand the high performance maneuvering which
allowed this remarkable aircraft to achieve such fame.
The ten-minute aerobatic routine, set to music includes low level maneuvers
such as vertical rolls, barrel rolls, inverted pass,
Cuban eight, loop, point rolls and tuck-under break
to landing. At special times an airshow demonstration
might include a Two-ship routine, flown by
Lee Lauderback and Ed Shipley, demonstrating tight formation aerobatics
in these magnificent aircraft!
In addition to performing the Mustang demonstration,
Lee also participates in the USAF
Heritage Flight Program. This unique airshow
demonstration includes close formation of the Mustang
with the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Viper or the A-10 Warthog or the F22 Raptor.
Normally the Mustang is paired with one of the top
line USAF fighters, but at special times the Mustang
has lead the flight with an F-15 on one wing, an F-16
on the other and an A-10 in the slot. This unique
formation program allows the public to see the heritage
of the "old and new" aircraft and pays tribute to
the warriors of the past and the fighter pilots of
today.
This year will be the 12th year of performing and being
a favorite of audiences who never tire of its classic
looks and vibrant Rolls-Royce Merlin sound!
